Entering that competition was a pure set up
Tia...you're too dark
too short and too fat
Apparently I didn't understand that
And for 30 minutes under a bright light
Under the scrutiny of judges
On a hot night
I learned
That despite what people say
I can not be a model
Smiling and Bubbly can go to hell
I knew all too well
Odds were stacked against me
But
With sincerity
I can say
Maybe I didn't deserve to win
But I will throw it out there
Neither did the girl that did....

usually you don't let the words of the "haters" get you down - and i'm glad you didn't this time. hell i thought i was the next "red bull girl" when i got interviewed a few years ago.. it just means that soon enough something better will come along. plus know that you'll be glad you weren't held back by something as frivolous as this.
